Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar will visit Davos, Switzerland from January 15 to 19 to attend the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch in a press briefing here on Thursday.
The World Economic Forum is an annual gathering of government and corporate leaders to outline contemporary trends and challenges, world-shaping developments and collective policy responses.
The theme of this year's meeting is "Rebuilding Trust". The spokesperson said that the Prime Minister will participate in three important thematic events, which include stopping the cycle of global conflicts, restoring confidence in the global system and preventing economic disintegration. The Prime Minister will also deliver a keynote speech at the World Economic Forum on the topic of "Trade Tech Trillion Dollar Promises" and meet with government and business leaders.
