Rohit Sharma holds the record for most T20 centuries

Indian captain Rohit Sharma created history by scoring his fifth T20I century during the thrilling third T20I against Afghanistan in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Rohit's fifth century makes him the player with the most T20I centuries in cricket history, surpassing Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and fellow Indian batsman Surya Kumar Yadav.
Both Maxwell and Surya Kumar Yadav have scored four centuries each in their T20I career. He is followed by Pakistan batsman Babar Azam, Kiwi batsman Colin Munro and Czech Republic's Sabavon Deuzi who scored three centuries each. Rohit Sharma leads the way with 5 centuries in 143 innings at an average of 31.29 and a strike rate of 139.98.

Surya Kumar Yadav scored 4 centuries in 57 innings at an average of 45.55 and a strike rest of 171.55. Fourth in scoring rate and 3 centuries at an average of 42.13, Colin Munro is fifth with 3 centuries at a strike rate of 156.44 in 62 innings and an average of 31.34, while Sabaon Davizi is fifth with a strike rate of 138.93 in 31 innings and an average of 41.03. Having scored 3 centuries, he is at the sixth position.
Rohit Sharma's unbeaten innings of 121 off 69 balls took India to 212 runs. Afghanistan countered with Gulbuddin Naib's 55 off 23 balls which tied the match and a super over was played. The first over ended in a tie, with both teams scoring 16 runs. Then, Rohit Sharma took India to 11 runs in just three balls in the second super over.
Ravi Bishnoi's exceptional bowling in which he took two wickets for just one run ensured India's victory. It is to be noted that this is the first time in the history of men's T20Is that a match ended in the second super over. With the win, India swept the T20I series 3–0 against Afghanistan and Rohit's 42nd win as captain is joint-most in T20I history.
