PTI filed a review petition against the decision to withdraw the bat symbol

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court on the decision to withdraw the bat symbol. According to the details, the Registrar Office of the Supreme Court has allotted diary number 2423/2024, in which PTI has requested the Supreme Court to review the decision of the intra-party elections. That the Supreme Court should review its decision and reinstate the decision of the Peshawar High Court, the intra-party elections were conducted according to the party constitution, the Election Commission does not have the authority to review the intra-party elections.

It has been stated in the petition that every possible effort is being made to exclude PTI from the general elections, people dressed in plain clothes kept kidnapping PTI candidates in broad daylight, sometimes they were prevented from submitting their papers and sometimes they were suggested. And the supporters were arrested.

PTI has said in the application that it is the job of the Election Commission to provide a level playing field to PTI, instead of taking action against the responsible party, the Election Commission is taking action against the founder PTI by going to jail. The matter of taking should be seen in the whole context.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court ordered not to harass the candidates and activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Chief Justice Amir Farooq issued orders on the petition of PTI candidates Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari, level playing field in the Islamabad High Court. A hearing was held on the petitions against non-meeting, Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the petition to stop the election campaign and harassment of Tehreek-e-Insaf nominated candidates, Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari appeared before the court.

It has been reported that during the hearing, lawyer Shoaib Shaheen took a stand that 'the police are picking up our supporters and telling them to leave the PTI, our people are being told to join another party, phone calls. They say that if you hold a rally, a report will be filed against you. On this occasion, Ali Bukhari Advocate said that the election campaign and rallies that were to be held have already happened, today is the last day, our polling agents are being threatened by calls, if Islamabad's model police will adopt this behavior. Then what image will go'?

It has been learned that during the hearing, the Election Commission's lawyer told the court that "as many applications as received by the Election Commission were processed on the same day, the Commission ordered the IG Islamabad to look into the matter". Told that 'out of 112 candidates, only two such allegations have been made', the Chief Justice smilingly remarked that 'complaints should come only from those who have had problems'.

After the hearing of this case, Chief Justice Amir Farooq issued orders that it is not appropriate to knowingly pick up people, you are the responsible officer, so you have been summoned, otherwise we will call the IG and the Home Secretary. The Election Commission has to conduct clean and transparent elections, why are you not looking at all these things under your authority', later the court adjourned the hearing till next week with instructions not to harass the candidates. .
