Pakistan offers trade deal to Egypt


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has offered a preferential trade agreement to Egypt, caretaker Commerce Minister Gohar Ejaz said that Pakistan can supply Egypt with cheaper products compared to regional countries.

According to the details, the caretaker Minister of Commerce Gohar Ejaz said on the occasion of his visit to Egypt that Pakistan has offered a preferential trade agreement to Egypt, Pakistan and consumers should sign the preferential trade agreement.

Gohra Ijaz said that Pakistan can provide cheaper products to Egypt compared to regional countries, bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Egypt is 400 million dollars, both countries can take bilateral trade up to 4 billion dollars.

The caretaker minister said that the two countries are doing a trade of 100 billion dollars, Egyptian businessmen have been invited to visit Pakistan.

Gohra Ijaz visited the Single Country Exhibition in Cairo, where he visited the stalls of auto, textile and various products and also met with businessmen from Egypt and Pakistan, officials of the Ministry of Commerce said.
