Till 1948 these coins were in circulation in Pakistan. Pakistan then minted its own coins, keeping in mind the design and parallel value of the British coins.
Today we will introduce you to some rare and rare coins which were coins of the British government but they had to be introduced in Pakistan due to a compulsion and necessity of time.
At the beginning of 1947, when Pakistan emerged as a
fledgling state, Pakistan did not immediately have adequate arrangements to
regulate its financial and economic system.
So, in view of the country's economic and economic needs, the
government of Pakistan had to adopt the British system until it became
self-sufficient.
That's why the state of Pakistan had to operate their coins
in subcontinent under an agreement with Great Britain.Till 1948 these coins
were in circulation in Pakistan. Then Pakistan minted its own coins, keeping in
mind the design and parallel values of the British coins.
They were created from Texal (Lahorment) which was
established in Lahore in 1941 during the British rule.Earlier there were only
two mints in the subcontinent which were in Calcutta and Bombay. But in order to
differentiate the coins minted from Lahore Mint, mint mark (L) was displayed on
it.The newly minted coins of Pakistan have the currency name and (decimal
value) and (currency unit) modeled on the earlier British coins and the design
was formally approved by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as the head of state.
